I am looking to start my own business. I am not really sure where I am going to put the office or any of those details, but I need to start at step one. I need a name and a face for my business. It will be a candy making business. I want to make chocolate lollipops and hard candied lollipops. I want to get some food coloring to paint them and make them look eye catching. That's it! I will call the business ICANDY. That is so perfect. I sat down at my computer to search for products to start making the candy. I needed colored chocolate and some food coloring pens to paint the white chocolate. I also needed the different sugar colors for the hard candy. I needed some holiday molds to make the shapes for the lollipops. Oh and I need the sticks to put into the candy. I wanted to go downtown and see if there was a store front that I could rent to put my items on display for sale. I will have to buy items to set up displays for the finished products. I found the perfect place with spaces in the window for people to window shop. It had a place in the back for me to set up a candy making mini factory and even a little room in the back for an office. There was also a small area in the back of the room where the cash register would be. I had the owner of the building ask me if I had business insurance. I told her that I did not even know what kind of insurance that I would need for such a small business. She told me to check out the Acord General Liability rules and regulations to get some advice on what kind of insurance to get. I was ready to get the store under way because I wanted to be open by the time school starts so that I can be ready for all of the holidays to come. It would probably be my biggest selling season. I was also going to do birthday parties here. I would probably be making a princess tea party for girls and a pirate treasure hunt for the boys. I was ready to start the first day of the rest of my life. I want my kids, hopefully a daughter, can continue the business someday.
